Concord Place Community Enjoys a Sock Hop at the Skyline Ballroom

With live music from Jane Allyson and The Saratogas, the Community Room was transformed into a festive rock ‘n roll celebration, turning the evening into a walk down memory lane.

• Iconic ‘50s Fashion
  For many, the fashion was just as memorable as the music. We were thrilled to see participants fully embrace the theme, sporting poodle skirts, bobby socks and satin jackets. Even the “greasers” made an appearance in leather jackets and classic white T-shirts! The themed attire added to the fun and showed just how enthusiastically our residents participate in community events.
  
• Taste of the Diner Days
  It wouldn’t be the ‘50s without our residents’ classic diner favorites. Guests enjoyed mini burgers, crispy fries and homemade milkshakes that brought back fond memories of soda fountains and drive-in movies. Dining together sparked laughter, conversations and stories from years past. At Concord Place, delicious chef-prepared meals help turn a community into home.
  
• Fun on the Dance Floor
  The dance floor was busy all night. Residents and staff alike showed off their best moves, from The Twist to The Mashed Potato, hand jives and a lively conga line. It was a beautiful reminder of what makes Concord Place so special.
